Online psychiatric consultation at IsraClinic works in exactly the same way as an in-person consultation — the same clinical rigour, the same diagnostic process, the same quality of care. The format is different. The medicine is not.
Since 2005, IsraClinic has provided psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care to patients in Israel and internationally. Online consultations have been a central part of our clinical work for many years — not as a compromise or a substitute, but as a fully equivalent pathway to expert psychiatric care for patients who cannot or prefer not to attend in person.
Consultations are conducted via secure video connection — Zoom or an equivalent platform — at a scheduled appointment time. The clinical process is identical to an in-person consultation: a comprehensive psychiatric interview, careful assessment of the patient's history and current presentation, formulation of a diagnosis where appropriate, and discussion of treatment options.
The initial consultation lasts approximately 50–60 minutes. Follow-up consultations are typically shorter, depending on clinical need.
Digital prescriptions are issued through the Yarpa system, in full compliance with Israeli Ministry of Health regulations. Patients located outside Israel may need to arrange prescription management through their local healthcare system — our team will advise during the consultation.
All clinical documentation — letters, reports, expert opinions — can be prepared and issued following online consultations in the same way as following in-person appointments.
Online consultation is suitable for most patients and most clinical presentations. The appropriateness of the online format is assessed individually — we will advise honestly if in-person assessment is clinically indicated for your specific situation.
Online consultation is particularly well-suited for:
Patients living outside Israel seeking expert psychiatric assessment, a second opinion, or ongoing treatment management from an internationally recognised clinic.
Patients in Israel outside Tel Aviv for whom travelling to the clinic is difficult or inconvenient.
Patients with significant anxiety, agoraphobia, or other conditions that make leaving home challenging.
Patients continuing existing treatment who have previously attended in person and wish to continue in an online format.
Russian, English, or Hebrew speakers who cannot find a suitable specialist locally.
Patients who prefer the privacy, convenience, and flexibility of online care.
One of the most significant clinical benefits of online consultation at IsraClinic is language. Psychiatric assessment depends on nuance — on the precise words a patient uses to describe their experience, the subtleties of affect and expression, the ability to communicate without simplification or loss of meaning.
For Russian-speaking patients in particular — whether in Israel, Europe, North America, or elsewhere — finding a qualified psychiatrist who speaks fluent Russian and operates to the highest clinical standards is genuinely difficult. IsraClinic's online consultations make this accessible globally.
Our clinical team conducts consultations in Russian, English, and Hebrew. No interpreter is required. No meaning is lost in translation.
In certain situations — acute psychiatric emergencies, presentations where physical examination is clinically necessary, complex neurological assessment, or presentations where the patient's safety cannot be adequately managed remotely — in-person assessment is indicated. We will advise clearly if this applies to your situation.
IsraClinic maintains close working relationships with in-person clinical facilities in Israel and can facilitate referral or coordination where needed.
Contact us by phone, WhatsApp, or email. Our clinical coordination team will discuss your situation briefly, confirm that online consultation is appropriate for your needs, and schedule an appointment at a time that works for you — including, where possible, accommodating time zone differences for patients abroad.
No referral is required. You do not need a letter from a GP or any other specialist to contact IsraClinic directly.
IsraClinic accepts patients for online consultation from any country, in English, Russian and Hebrew.
